When the Castle Yacht Association of Australia (CYAA) was formed in 2024 one of the ambitions of the founders was for the association to hold a truely 'National' championships.

In 2025 the CYAA is proud to announce that on December 5,6 & 7 at Canberra Yacht Club a Castle National Championships will be held as part of the open trailable City of Canberra Championships. 

With 5-6 boats regularly racing locally in Canberra, and the location being an achievable distance for VIC and NSW members it is hoped that the event will attract 12+ Castle 650's, and hopefully the requisite 3x Castle 550's required to constitute a championships.
